How Humie Works

Developed by world-leading emotion scientists,
Humie's integrates emotion learning
directly into kids' favorite TV.

1. Students' watch

Educators and students stream from a safe, growing catalogue of kids' favorite TV shows – curated by children's media experts.

2. Humie prompts

Fuzzy friend "Humie" asking your kid to become an emotioneer

Humie automatically prompts emotional reflection while students watch. Passive screen time becomes interactive, play-based learning.

3. Humie grows with students

Curriculum progresses across shows and over time. Teachers can facilitate or students can self-navigate.

The Humans behind Humie

       We're growing side-by-side
            with your little one.

Our founders – two of the country's leading emotion scientists – have spent over 6 years developing the technology behind the app. While there are additional bells & whistles on our roadmap for Humie, the recent reductions in educational resources for children challenge us to think differently.

Research confirms that the earlier kids begin to acquire emotional literacy, the better. So we're taking an iterative approach that makes our already revolutionary technology available sooner (enter the "1st Generation" of Humie).

Launching iteratively also allows us to involve early-adopting parents & kids as "co-designers" of the app. We want to grow alongside the members of our community.

We don't have time to wait – the children of America deserve this resource now.

"My son loves using Humie! He is 4 years old and will specifically ask to watch “the question version” of some of his favorite shows like Bluey and Octonauts.

As a parent, I feel better about allowing screen time when I know he is developing his emotional and social learning!"
– Miles's dad, Tyler S.
